The most important step

Fortuna got to us with a crushed and fractured body.
Fractures to the hip, pelvis, ribs, and spine, as well as suspected further injury.
She was lying in the hospital in pain, weak, her eyes pleading for help.
Emergency CT scans helped us understand how to save her.
Then started her hospitalization, treatments and long rehabilitation.
At first, every movement was a struggle.
Slowly but surely, the first step came, followed by another.
And today Fortuna is walking!
She’s a sweet, loving dog who’s left the pain behind.
Now she’s waiting to take the most important step – and go home.
