This document is intended to explain and detail the manner in which the Let the Animals Live Association (hereinafter: “the Association”) collects, uses, stores, and processes personal information through its website and through other channels of communication with the Association, including telephone, email, social networks, clinic services, donations, online forms, and more.

This policy is written in masculine form for convenience only, and applies equally to all genders.

Use of the website and/or the Association’s services constitutes confirmation that you have read this Privacy Policy and consent to the collection and processing of personal information, where such processing is based on consent.
In other cases detailed in this policy, personal information will be processed pursuant to a legal obligation, for the performance of a contract, for the purpose of fulfilling a legitimate interest of the Association (including the management of donor, volunteer, and clinic activity), or on any other lawful basis under applicable law.

If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, you are requested to refrain from using the website, except insofar as required to receive an essential service from the Association.

This Privacy Policy is drafted in accordance with the Protection of Privacy Law, 5741–1981, the Protection of Privacy Regulations (Data Security), 5777–2017, and any amendments thereto, including Amendment No. 13 to the Law, to the extent applicable to the Association.
Where foreign privacy laws apply (including in relation to donors residing outside Israel), the Association will act in accordance with the applicable legal requirements.

The Association reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including due to legal, technological, or organizational changes. Any material update will be published on the website, and where required, appropriate notice will be given. The updated policy will enter into force upon its publication, unless otherwise stated.

2.1 “Personal Information” – Any information relating to an identified person or a person who can reasonably be identified.

2.2 “Database” – As defined in the Protection of Privacy Law, 5741–1981.

2.3 “Processing” – Any operation performed on personal information, including collection, storage, use, transfer, or deletion.

Identification and contact details such as full name, address, telephone number, email address, ID number, and any additional details provided in the context of contacting the Association, making donations, registering for volunteering, using the clinic, or submitting inquiries.

Financial information, including donation and purchase history, invoices, and receipts.
Credit card details are not stored on the Association’s servers and are entered directly into a secure interface of the payment processing provider.

3.1.3
Medical and sensitive information, where required for the provision of veterinary or animal-related services, including information about animals, medical conditions, treatments, and follow-up documentation. Such information may be stored in a dedicated database separate from the website database.

3.1.4
Information submitted via online forms on the website. Information may be stored in the website database and/or sent by email to Association staff.
With the user’s consent, contact details may also be added to mailing lists. Users may unsubscribe at any time.

3.1.5
User comments and content submitted on the website, where applicable, which may be retained for the period required by the purpose for which they were collected or as required by law.

3.2 Gravatar Service

3.2.1
The website may use the Gravatar service to display user profile images. Any interaction with Gravatar is subject to its privacy policy:
