Dean got to us a few days ago and is truly one of the worst cases we’ve ever seen.
He was found with both eyes hanging out, a deep gash in his neck, open wounds, bleeding, in agonizing pain. His head has had a terrible trauma. We don’t know if it was due to a car accident or abuse. He’s been through initial care: cleaning, suturing, bandaging, and a complex surgery to remove his eyes, as well as a surgical consult for the deep neck gash. He will later undergo a CT scan to ascertain the extent of the injury to his skull.
We don’t know exactly what happened to him but we know his is fighting for his life and we are fighting for him. Please help us save Dean by making a donation.
**Dean Update**
Dean was found two weeks ago with both eyes hanging out, a deep neck gash, open wounds and bleeding. CT showed injury to his skull and he has to have both eyes surgically removed.
He is doing so much better and making such heartwarming progress! Without his sight, in a new surrounding, Dean is learning to trust us as we take care of him. He is still on antibiotics for the wounds on his jaw and is able to eat, and the deep neck gash is still being treated. He is getting lots of pain relief and we hope in time to see an improvement regarding the injury to his skull.
We are with him every step of the way until he’ll be able to find his forever home.
