Jimmy

Jimmy struggled to survive on the streets. He was famished and emaciated, and suffered from a severe skin disease. No one noticed him, until he got to us. Jimmy was hospitalized and treated for many months, in which time we fell in love with this gentle pooch. Jimmy has leishmania – a chronic disease caused by a parasite transferred through the bite of sand flies. It is not contagious, and dogs with Leishmania like Jimmy, can live long, happy, healthy lives. All they need is to take one pill a day.
