לא ניתן למשרד החקלאות להיכנע לבריונות של הדייגים
בסתיו שעבר, לאחר מאבק של שנים, אישרה הכנסת תקנות להגנת הדגים מדיג חסר אבחנה. התקנות הן פשרה, ואינן מעניקות את ההגנה שהיינו רוצים לראות. כחלק מהעברתן קיבלו הדייגים מתנה של קרוב לעשרים מיליון ₪ מכספי הציבור! אבל הדייגים לא מסתפקים בזה. ב-1.5.2017 החלו 45 ימים של הגבלת דיג, בשל עונת הרבייה. ההפוגה הקלה רק החלה, והדייגים פתחו במסע לחצים על משרד החקלאות, בדרישה לקצר את תקופת הגבלת הדיג. ומה עושה משרד החקלאות? ניחשתם נכון – שוקל לפעול בהתאם לדרישת הדייגים.
משרד החקלאות נתן פרק זמן קצר לציבור להביע את דעתו לפני שיכריז על חידוש הדיג בתקופת הרבייה.
